The Research Group In Vitro Toxicology and Dermato-Cosmetology (IVTD) of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is looking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher (m/f) to strengthen and coordinate its experimental research aimed at the development of animal-free, human relevant methods for the evaluation of liver toxicity induced by chemicals.

IC-3Rs postdoc position in silico methodology

  • You will conduct your own research project involving in silico methodology, toxicokinetic modelling (PBPK) and/or in vitro to in vivo extrapolation of toxicological data (QIVIVE).

  • Your research work will result in international, peer-reviewed scientific articles.

  • You will assist in the supervision of PhD and Master students and take the initiative for new projects and fundraising.

  • You will help with the coordination and management of IVTDs and IC-3Rs research and prepare (interim) scientific reports.

  • You will participate in the dissemination activities of IC-3Rs.

Open position for a Postdoctaral Researcher

o You will be part of the team within IVTD that focuses on the development of non-animal and human relevant alternative methods for the evaluation of liver toxicity induced by chemicals ( o You develop your own research expertise in which in vitro and computational toxicology are central. Your scientific work should result in several manuscripts published in international peerreviewed journals.

o Within the Interdisciplinary Research Programme, you function as a liaison between the participating partners (research groups WISE and LSTS) and you are responsible for the organisation and provision of materials for the training activities. o You will assist in the daily supervision of PhD and Master students and help them to reach their goals.

o You will be involved in project management (strategy, follow-up, budgeting, reporting) and take the initiative in writing new research projects for fundraising.
